Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, mobility and feeding as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and care team
- Participate in team huddles and follow care plans to improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or eligible) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Comfortable performing physical aspects of resident care and lifting safely
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to observe, prioritize, and report changes in condition
