Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Assist with activities of daily living to support patient dignity and comfort
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and communicate effectively with the care team
- Help maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents and visitors
- Support nursing staff with procedures and timely delivery of care supplies
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Active or eligible to be listed on the Pennsylvania CNA registry
- Basic Life Support CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Clear background check and up to date immunizations as required by facility policy
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a collaborative care team
- Previous long term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed and active CNA certification program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside skills with attention to safety
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and families
- Basic clinical documentation and charting skills
- Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
