Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care
Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Start Date: 04-18-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe and comfortable transfers and ambulation for residents
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves dignity and independence
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current, state-approved CNA certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively as part of a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- State-approved CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care principles and ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
- Compassion, patience, and situational awareness in a long-term care setting
