Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs, monitor changes, and report concerns to the nursing team
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care accurately and on time in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to support individualized care plans
• Follow infection control practices and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state CNA license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Able to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
• Teamwork and clear communication with patients, families, and staff
• Empathy, patience, and a positive bedside manner

This is a travel contract assignment based in historic Gettysburg. Enjoy exploring the Gettysburg National Military Park and Museum, stroll the charming downtown with its shops and eateries, and take a guided ghost tour for some local lore. History buffs will love the Eisenhower National Historic Site and Gettysburg National Cemetery. On weekends you can visit nearby wineries and breweries, enjoy scenic countryside drives and hiking, or take a short trip to Hershey or larger cities for a change of pace. Plenty to do when you’re off shift.
