Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and accurately record vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and report changes promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the resident chart or EHR
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and coworkers
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred if available)
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to care for older adults
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to be a dependable team player on shift

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Comfortable taking and charting vital signs and observations
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
