Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient mobility, function, and pain to create personalized treatment plans
- Develop and implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions
- Document patient progress clearly and communicate changes to the care team
- Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab staff to optimize outcomes
- Measure outcomes and adjust plans to help patients reach meaningful goals
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure in New Mexico
- Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) or equivalent
- Experience in outpatient or contract rehab settings preferred
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Professional, patient-centered communication skills and strong clinical judgment
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s in a related field acceptable
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise and manual therapy techniques
- Skilled in functional mobility training and gait assessment
- Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records
- Strong clinical reasoning and outcome-driven treatment planning
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
