Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct one-on-one and group therapy that helps patients regain communication and swallowing skills
• Document progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in the medical record accurately and on time
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and families to coordinate holistic care
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support carryover and safe swallowing at home
• Participate in discharge planning to promote continuity of care and successful transitions

Qualifications

• Current state license or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent professional credential
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or pursuing certification is a plus
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment planning for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and outcome measurement
• Proficient in patient-centered care and family education
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehab team
• Good clinical judgment for safety in dysphagia management and therapy progression
• Strong organizational skills for timely documentation and caseload management
