Shift Type: Full-time, Monday - Wednesday, 7:45 AM - 8:00 PM, plus weekend rotation (rotating day/evening shifts)

Candidate Pay Rate: $26 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic x-ray exams using proper exposure techniques to produce clear, diagnostic-quality images.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and families with clarity and compassion to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Apply radiation protection practices and sterile technique to maintain safety for patients and staff.
- Conduct routine quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to maintain image integrity.
- Maintain accurate imaging records, track images, and ensure timely storage and retrieval of studies.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support annual inspections by a certified Radiation Physicist.
- Collaborate in team meetings, contribute to process improvements, and support smooth clinic operations.
- Step in as needed to support providers and clinical staff, ensuring continuous, high-quality urgent care services.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology (required)
- ARRT certification to be successfully passed within 12 months of employment
- Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Prior clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and imaging systems
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology

- Diagnostic x-ray procedures and proper exposure technique (mA, kV, time, distance)
- Radiation safety and protection practices
- Image quality control and equipment checks
- Proficiency with EHR and digital imaging systems
- Sterile technique and infection prevention
- Clear patient communication and comfort measures

- Team collaboration and initiative in quality improvement
