Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and design personalized occupational therapy plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and independence
• Document patient progress clearly and communicate updates to the care team and families
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive care
• Train patients and caregivers in adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices
• Discharge plan preparation and referral to community resources to support long-term recovery

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) — current state licensure required (California licensure recommended)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain upon start
• Experience in occupational therapy settings such as acute rehab, outpatient, or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with therapy care plans and progress notes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage patients and interdisciplinary staff

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (as required by state licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and individualized treatment planning
• Therapeutic activities for ADLs, functional mobility, and fine motor skills
• Adaptive equipment recommendations and training
• Clinical documentation and outcome measurement
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family education
