Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve patient mobility and function
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on goals, home programs, and safe mobility strategies
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license for New Jersey (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or willing to obtain
• Previous clinical experience in inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation preferred
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and thorough documentation
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy acceptable
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills and clinical reasoning in rehab settings
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and manual therapy techniques
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
• Time management and organizational skills to handle a varied caseload
• Familiarity with discharge planning and care coordination
