Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients regain function
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and safe discharge
• Document assessments, progress and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians and rehab colleagues to ensure coordinated care
• Float to El Camino when assigned, providing consistent quality care across locations

Qualifications

• Current California Physical Therapist license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or Master’s) — DPT preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehab or post-acute care preferred (1+ year is a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, mobility and gait training
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and functional training
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic medical records
• Ability to triage, prioritize caseloads and adapt plans based on patient needs
• Comfortable collaborating within an interdisciplinary rehab team
