Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the Nursing Process
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to hospital policies
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and progress accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, treatments, and preventive care
• Supervise, teach, and delegate to LPNs and Medical Assistants to support clinical workflows
• Advocate for patients and offer compassionate emotional support during care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing; Nursys verification required at submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required)
• At least some nursing experience; new graduates are not being considered at this time
• NH license or active Compact license allowed; license must be active at time of submission
• Candidates should be in the process of moving to New Hampshire (serious inquiries only)
• Experience in outpatient or gastroenterology settings and supervising clinical support staff is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required to hold RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficient in medication administration and safe practice
• Excellent nursing documentation and medical terminology knowledge
• Skilled in patient education and care coordination
• Ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to LPNs and Medical Assistants
• Familiarity with outpatient procedures, hospital policies, and regulatory compliance
