Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate patient care in accordance with hospital methods and procedures
• Assist staff nurses in treatment and ongoing care for long-term care residents
• Demonstrate and promote patient- and family-centered care at every interaction
• Follow established clinical protocols, documentation standards, and safety practices
• Communicate clearly with team members, leadership, patients, and families
• Support quality initiatives and contribute to a positive patient experience
• Adhere to facility attendance and punctuality policies to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active Michigan nursing license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of long-term care (LTC) nursing experience
• BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) required and must be documented
• MI LTC fingerprinting is a plus and considered a selling point
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and comply with facility attendance policies

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and experience in long-term care settings
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care principles
• Familiarity with hospital/long-term care methods, procedures, and documentation
• Good clinical judgment, infection control, and safety awareness
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Dependability, punctuality, and ability to follow facility attendance policies
