Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that target meaningful functional goals
• Implement therapy and adjust approaches based on patient progress
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists and families to support continuity of care
• Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes in a timely and professional manner
• Provide education and training to caregivers and staff to support carryover
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent from an accredited program
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or active clinical credentials
• Experience with adult and geriatric populations preferred, especially in skilled nursing or rehab settings
• Current professional liability insurance and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition and dysphagia
• Familiarity with documentation standards and clinical outcome measurement
• Ability to design functional, patient-centered treatment plans
• Strong communication skills for patient, family and team collaboration
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab environment and adapting to varied caseloads
• Basic knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication strategies is a plus
