Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor telemetry and acute care needs
• Administer medications safely and according to policy
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to support surgical, orthopedic, and cath lab patients
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies with clinical confidence
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Participate in weekend coverage and the on-call rotation when scheduled

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in Acute Care / Med-Surg / Telemetry (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications (required)
• Proof of flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and participating in call rotation
• Ability to pass required credentialing documentation (resume, license verification, certs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of the nursing process, patient assessment, and care coordination
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and med-surg adult patient populations
• Medication administration expertise and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with OBS, orthopedic surgery patients, and hybrid cath lab procedures is a plus
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage changing patient acuity and staffing needs
