Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for patients of all ages, including healthy pediatrics and complex adults
• Plan and administer anesthesia for a wide variety of cases including ortho, GI, vascular, GYN, neuro, ENT, robotics, and trauma
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams in a medical direction care team model
• Document assessments, plans, and intraoperative care accurately in Epic
• Participate in trauma responses and adapt rapidly in a level II trauma environment
• Support efficient OR flow across 20 ORs and multiple procedure suites while maintaining patient safety
• Contribute to a positive team culture by mentoring colleagues and supporting best practices

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted CRNA certification and active RN licensure (able to obtain Michigan licensure if not already held)
• Graduate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (MSN or DNP) and national certification
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS highly preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable and experienced with pediatric anesthesia
• Experience or comfort with a broad surgical case mix including robotics, trauma, ortho, endoscopy, vascular, and neuro
• Familiarity with Epic or other major EMR systems
• Willingness to complete credentialing within the facility’s 60-90 day timeframe

Education

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia (accredited program) and CRNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative assessment and anesthesia planning skills
• Proficient airway management and regional anesthesia techniques
• Experience with OR anesthesia workflows and trauma-level responses
• Comfort with pediatric anesthesia principles and dosing
• Familiarity with robotics cases and endoscopy anesthesia
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary settings
• Accurate and timely Epic documentation skills
