Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams across a broad outpatient caseload, keeping patient comfort and safety front and center
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to facility protocols, monitoring patients and documenting appropriately
• Operate GE CT systems (required) and adapt to Canon/Toshiba equipment as needed
• Use PACS and advanced post-processing tools for 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurements to support diagnostic reads
• Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions to protect patients and staff
• Start peripheral IVs when needed and assist with procedure prep for special studies including PET-CT
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate imaging and reporting
• Maintain clear, professional documentation and comply with facility vaccination and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) registration required
• Current California radiologic technologist license required
• Fluoroscopy permit required in California
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required (2 years preferred)
• GE CT experience required; experience with Canon or Toshiba CT scanners highly preferred
• PET certification is a strong plus
• Willingness to float within scope to meet department needs when requested
• Flu vaccine required by facility (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guidance

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or CT technologist program
• ARRT certification and state licensure as required

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging techniques for abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, sinuses, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Contrast administration and IV starts
• PACS workflow and image post-processing (3D rendering, MPR, ROI measurement)
• Radiation safety principles and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with PET-CT procedures and special imaging protocols
• Comfort working in an outpatient clinic setting and adapting to a mostly CT-focused workload
