Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to ICU and PCU patients
• Continuously assess and monitor patient condition and respond to changes
• Administer medications, titrate infusions and manage advanced therapies per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with unit policies
• Participate in unit performance improvement, safety initiatives and team huddles

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or eligibility for compact licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or willingness to obtain per facility policy
• Previous experience in ICU or PCU settings preferred
• Comfort working both day and night shifts and adapting to varying patient acuity
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• IV medication administration and infusion titration
• Electronic health record documentation proficiency
• Clear patient and family communication and education
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and escalation when needed
