Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop individualized treatment plans that produce measurable progress
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and gait training
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and quality
- Collaborate with nurses, aides, physicians, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and discharge planning to support long-term outcomes
- Supervise and mentor PT assistants and aides to maintain high standards of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance clinical practice and patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey (or ability to obtain before start)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered with required credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
- Strong clinical judgment and effective documentation skills; 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
- Ability to work a schedule that includes weekends and provide reliable coverage
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with required licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and mobility/gait training
- Familiarity with assistive devices, orthotics, and adaptive equipment
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
- Strong communication and patient education skills for diverse populations
- Excellent time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and HIPAA compliance
