Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support functional recovery
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate care
- Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record to track outcomes
- Educate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and discharge plans
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing (or Licensed PTA for PTA applicants)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, or post-acute settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage documentation and meet productivity expectations
Education
- Physical Therapist: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
- Physical Therapist Assistant: Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic exercise
- Skilled in gait training, balance retraining, and ADL-focused interventions
- Proficient with clinical documentation and outcome measurement tools
- Comfortable working within interdisciplinary care teams
- Ability to educate and motivate patients toward meaningful functional goals
