Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support functional recovery
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate care
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record to track outcomes
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and discharge plans
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing (or Licensed PTA for PTA applicants)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, or post-acute settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage documentation and meet productivity expectations

Education

• Physical Therapist: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
• Physical Therapist Assistant: Associate degree from an accredited PTA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic exercise
• Skilled in gait training, balance retraining, and ADL-focused interventions
• Proficient with clinical documentation and outcome measurement tools
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary care teams
• Ability to educate and motivate patients toward meaningful functional goals
