Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to geriatric residents
- Support safe transfers and mobility assistance to reduce fall risk
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care provided and maintain accurate resident records
- Help create a warm, engaging environment that promotes resident comfort and independence
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- Completion of a state-approved nurse assistant training program
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort working in long-term care or geriatric settings; compassion and patience are essential
- Good communication skills and ability to follow care plans and directions
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a nurse aide/GNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and age-related needs
- Basic infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe transfer techniques
- Ability to observe, document, and communicate resident changes
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
- Respectful, person-centered approach to resident care
