Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
- Provide hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions with clinical purpose
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with state and facility guidelines while delivering high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active New York Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain one prior to assignment
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
Education
- DPT or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy program

- Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment planning
- Orthopedic and musculoskeletal care
- Manual therapy techniques
- Therapeutic exercise prescription
- Patient education and home exercise program design
- Clinical documentation and progress tracking
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and professional communication
