Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ functional mobility and design individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and progressive exercise programs
- Document patient progress clearly and communicate outcomes with the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to optimize patient care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies
- Adapt treatment plans based on patient response and changing goals
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist or Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (appropriate credential for the role)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable working in an outpatient/contract facility environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work Monday through Friday daytime schedule for the duration of the assignment
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent for Physical Therapist
- Associate degree or PTA certification for Physical Therapist Assistant
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, gait training, balance and therapeutic exercise
- Proficient documentation and care planning
- Knowledge of common orthopedic and neurologic rehab interventions
- Excellent communication and team-based care skills
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
