Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using evidence-based evaluation to identify needs and goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote function and independence
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, and gait training
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to coordinate high-quality care
- Document assessments, plans, and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Educate patients and families to support recovery, home programs, and injury prevention
- Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans to ensure measurable progress
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- Doctorate or degree in Physical Therapy preferred
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to provide compassionate care across a diverse patient population
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor or Master in Physical Therapy or related field accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Proficient with manual therapy techniques and functional mobility training
- Experience with balance, gait, and neuromuscular re-education interventions
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical reasoning and outcome-driven approach
