Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams using CR/DR equipment and mammography systems
• Operate and demonstrate proper use of PACS, HIS and RIS systems for imaging workflow
• Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring safety, comfort and confidentiality at all times
• Apply infection control and body substance isolation practices according to hospital and OSHA standards
• Troubleshoot CR/DR/PACS issues and escalate technical problems appropriately
• Maintain and document required department competencies and complete annual mandatory education
• Assist with supervision or instruction in assigned areas as directed by Lead Technologist or Operations Manager
• Ensure accurate documentation in electronic systems and follow departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required (must upload documentation)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Massachusetts Radiology License in hand or proof of application required (client will not pend license)
• Minimum 2 years radiography experience with at least 1 year of recent/current experience
• Availability for weekend and evening shifts as scheduled
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Traveler residency requirement: candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will NOT be considered
• Profile requirements: work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), 1 supervisory signed reference (within past 2 years), and license/certification uploads

Education

• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program (per state requirements)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Massachusetts Radiology License (required or proof of application)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography (CR and DR) and mammography techniques
• PACS operation and image management
• HIS and RIS workflow familiarity
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Infection control and body substance isolation practices
• Equipment troubleshooting for CR/DR/PACS systems
• Ability to maintain department competencies and complete required training
