Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Day shift). First week onboarding: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Note: 10-hour shifts may be scheduled during holiday weeks to accommodate guaranteed 40 hours; variable shifts possible as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon linear accelerators to deliver precise radiation treatments
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and setup verification to ensure accurate patient positioning
• Execute chart checks and collaborate with the radiation oncology team for safe treatment delivery
• Apply stereotactic radiosurgery and DIBH techniques where indicated to optimize patient outcomes
• Assist with dosimetry tasks and electron field setups when needed
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for adults and pediatric patients across outpatient and acute settings
• Participate in orientation and team training during the first week to ensure smooth integration

Qualifications

• Current Ohio state license required
• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) registry required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience; 5 years preferred
• Competency with Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon, and ARIA (version 15 preferred)
• Experience with VisionRT/OSMS is a plus
• Comfort working in teaching hospital environments preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent clinical training (or completion of an ARRT-approved program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon linear accelerator operation
• ARIA oncology information system (version 15 familiarity a plus)
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and image-guided radiation therapy workflows
• DIBH (deep inspiration breath hold) technique experience
• Stereotactic radiosurgery procedures and setup
• Dosimetry basics and chart checking best practices
• Ability to respond to emergency situations (Crash Cart / Defibrillator familiarity)
• Experience treating a range of diagnoses including head & neck, CNS, pediatric cancers, and more
