Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound studies using Philips Epiq 5, ensuring accurate imaging and measurements
• Operate and document studies in Cerner and archive images in Merge (PACS) with attention to detail
• Collaborate directly with in-house radiologists to provide timely, critical diagnostic information
• Prioritize compassionate patient care — prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety
• Respond to on-call requests promptly and professionally, meeting the 30-minute response expectation
• Maintain equipment, follow department protocols, and participate in quality assurance activities
• Help orient new staff to department-specific workflows and standards when needed

Qualifications

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of vascular sonography experience
• Comfortable using Philips Epiq 5 and working with Cerner and Merge (PACS)
• Willingness to work weekends, occasional holidays, and participate in on-call rotation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and ultrasound physics
• Proficiency in vascular ultrasound protocols and Doppler techniques
• Experience with PACS workflows (Merge) and electronic charting in Cerner
• Excellent patient positioning and image acquisition skills
• Ability to produce clear, concise imaging documentation and measurements
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities and rapid clinical decision support
