Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for approximately 20 surgeons across multiple specialties
• Serve as the primary liaison between surgeon offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-ons while keeping patient flow smooth
• Optimize block utilization and room assignments to maximize daily case volume
• Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ASC scheduling system and ensure confidentiality
• Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to align resources and staffing
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and AAAHC/Joint Commission standards in all scheduling activities
• Provide excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC and support administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience with outpatient surgical scheduling and ASC scheduling systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills for frequent interaction with patients and providers
• Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards (HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission)
• Ability to exercise flexibility and sound judgment in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Comfort with data entry, schedule management, and maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership and multiple stakeholders

• Scheduling and case coordination for ambulatory surgery centers
• Block utilization and room/resource optimization
• Patient flow management and same-day add-on handling
• Regulatory compliance knowledge (HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission)
• Strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills
• Data management and accurate scheduling system maintenance
• Ability to liaise across surgeon offices, clinical staff, and anesthesia teams
