Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient evaluation and treatment, maintaining approximately an 80% clinical caseload
• Oversee clinical operations and ensure regulatory compliance across the Occupational Therapy department
• Directly supervise certified Occupational Therapy assistants (COTAs) and Rehabilitation Technicians
• Lead the clinical education and competency processes for OT staff, designing and coordinating training
• Develop, maintain, and update OT policies and procedures addressing scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, discharge planning, and documentation
• Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Ensure documentation meets professional and regulatory standards and support discharge planning processes

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (required)
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of California (required)
• Experience supervising COTAs and Rehabilitation Technicians, with strong clinical leadership skills
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and facility policy development
• AOTA membership preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (required)
