Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients, prioritizing safety and dignity
• Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment for complex respiratory cases
• Perform and manage advanced procedures including central and arterial line care, chest tube and EVD support
• Operate and monitor renal replacement therapies such as CRRT and SLED when indicated
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Advocate for patients and families, delivering attentive patient experience and education during high-acuity care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must have)
• ACLS certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ICU clinical experience required (minimum 2 years of ICU experience as listed)
• Comfort with critical care procedures and high-acuity patient ratios (2:1, occasionally 1:1 or 3:1)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and bedside assessment
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and SLED experience
• External ventricular drain (EVD) management
• Familiarity with EV 1000 monitoring and hemodynamic devices
• Central and arterial line care, chest tube and lumbar puncture support
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient/family advocacy skills
