Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care for adult critical care patients, prioritizing safety and comfort
• Manage and optimize mechanical ventilator settings and advanced airway devices
• Assess respiratory status frequently and intervene promptly for clinical changes
• Perform respiratory procedures and support invasive/non-invasive ventilation strategies
• Document all care accurately and efficiently in Meditech
• Collaborate closely with the ICU interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
• Respond to emergency and rapid response situations with skill and calm
• Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience (per job details)
• Proficient with Meditech documentation system
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and able to float between units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of adult critical care respiratory therapy practices
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory monitoring
• Skilled in clinical assessment, critical thinking, and rapid intervention
• Familiarity with Meditech for accurate electronic documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
• Adaptability to float and support different units as required
