Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor pediatric patients’ respiratory status with care and attention
Deliver respiratory therapies and treatments safely and effectively
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and devices
Document care accurately in the medical record and communicate with the team
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with best practices
Provide family-centered education and compassionate support to patients and caregivers

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio (state licensure required)
Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Clinical experience with pediatric patients preferred
Comfortable working in a pediatric hospital environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Education

Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of pediatric respiratory assessment and airway management
Experience with ventilators, oxygen therapy and aerosol treatments
Ability to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Clear documentation skills and effective interdisciplinary communication
