Roles & Responsibilities

Provide attentive post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients in the PACU, ensuring safe recovery
Assess and monitor vital signs, pain levels, and recovery status with vigilance and compassion
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and families to communicate patient progress
Implement individualized care plans and transition patients safely to the next level of care
Document care concisely and accurately to support continuity and quality improvement

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials and eligibility to practice in Massachusetts
Experience or strong familiarity with Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU) and pediatric patients
Comfortable working in a fast-paced recovery environment and engaging with families
Willingness to complete orientation and any facility-specific onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU) best practices and postoperative monitoring
Pediatric postoperative care and family-centered communication
Registered nursing fundamentals applied to acute recovery settings
Effective patient assessment, clinical observation, and clear documentation
