Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to Med/Surg patients using strong assessment and clinical skills
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to promote recovery
• Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based nursing practices during each shift
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN licensure as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
• Clinical experience caring for medical-surgical patients preferred (even 1+ year is valuable)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and delegation skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in orientation
• Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering patient-centered care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and standards
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Experience with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Patient assessment, vital sign interpretation, and early recognition of deterioration
• Effective communication and teamwork in a busy hospital environment
• Time management, prioritization, and adaptability during high-acuity periods
