Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg and pediatric patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient progress, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or similar pediatric credentials preferred
• Comfortable caring for Med/Surg adults and pediatric patients; prior Med/Surg or Peds experience is a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings, and immunization requirements
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Pediatric care principles and family-centered communication
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
