Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care
• Assess patient condition, develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Respond to changes in patient status and participate in emergency interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and unit-based best practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Missouri or ability to obtain prior to start
• Experience in Med/Surg and pediatric patient care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; PALS and ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screening
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Relevant certifications and ongoing professional development encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Med/Surg nursing assessments and pediatric considerations
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Skilled in patient and family education with a compassionate approach
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting proficiency
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Collaborative mindset for working within interdisciplinary teams
