Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and assess complex patient conditions, including ventilators and hemodynamics
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code/rapid response situations
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred; confident caring for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
• BLS required and ACLS preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Current healthcare provider certifications and immunizations per facility policy
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Proficient with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation and order review
• Excellent prioritization and triage skills in high-acuity settings
• Team-oriented mindset with an emphasis on patient safety and quality improvement
