Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical, compassionate care to adult ICU patients, applying evidence-based practice
• Assess, monitor, and interpret complex patient data and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced support devices safely
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
• Participate in lifesaving procedures and support rapid response when needed
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Champion infection control, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Louisiana or eligibility under the state/compact rules
• ICU experience and comfort with high-acuity adult patients
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Critical care certification (CCRN) is a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour rotations, including nights and weekends as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, resilience, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient with medication administration in critical care settings
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting accurately
• Team-oriented approach with clear, compassionate communication
