Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings to improve independence and quality of life
Assess functional abilities and design personalized treatment plans that are realistic and goal-driven
Deliver therapeutic interventions and adapt plans based on patient progress and family/caregiver involvement
Document care thoroughly and accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and compliance
Manage a diverse caseload independently while prioritizing safety and outcomes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between settings

Qualifications

Active California Occupational Therapist license in good standing (required)
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution (required)
Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required)
2–3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Proficiency with EMR documentation and general computer skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and use sound clinical judgement

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical evaluation
Treatment planning and therapeutic interventions
EMR documentation best practices
Caseload management across multiple care settings
Acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient, and skilled nursing workflows
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and interpersonal communication

Benefits

Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Part-Time Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Progressive 13-step clinical pay scale (growth and longevity pay up to 30 years of service)
