Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
Assist nurses with clinical tasks and follow care plans accurately
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of patient care and observations
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control protocols
Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to enhance care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Authorization to practice in California as required by state regulations
Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on a per-diem basis
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Prior patient care or long-term care experience preferred
Reliable transportation to the assigned facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and mobility assistance
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
