Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, interpreting data to guide care
• Administer medications and manage complex IV/infusion therapies safely
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other critical care equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update care plans
• Respond quickly to emergencies and support code situations when needed
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (or eligible) — required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate with existing teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Medication titration and IV infusion management
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families and care teams
