Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures with care and attention to image quality
• Operate imaging equipment safely while following radiation safety protocols
• Position patients, explain procedures clearly, and provide compassionate patient care
• Assess images for quality and notify radiologists of any urgent findings
• Document procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately in the record
• Respond professionally and promptly when on-call, coordinating with clinical teams as needed
• Maintain equipment, perform routine QC checks, and report any issues for timely repair

Qualifications

• Certified and registered radiologic technologist (e.g., ARRT or equivalent) for Radiography and/or CT preferred
• State licensure for Arizona (or ability to obtain AZ licensure) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or able to obtain
• Comfortable working weekend day shifts and participating in on-call rotation
• Strong patient communication skills and a good-natured, team-oriented attitude

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT and general X-ray imaging techniques and protocols
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Patient positioning, contrast administration basics, and artifact recognition
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and basic DICOM workflows
• Ability to prioritize urgent imaging needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
