Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly identify rhythm changes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate condition changes to the care team
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and apply appropriate interventions per protocol
• Administer treatments and medications safely, following facility policies and Prime exam competencies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, telemetry findings, and interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Complete required testing, competencies, and compliance items (drug screen, immunizations, fit test, etc.)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (Nursys verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Completion of Prime competency exams and skills checklist as listed (rhythm interpretation, pharmacology, specialty exam)
• Current immunizations and required health screenings (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, fit test, drug screen)
• Strong telemetry experience and confidence with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including drug screen and license/certificate verification

Education

• Active RN license (state-required); ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Rhythm interpretation and rapid recognition of arrhythmias
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Basic pharmacology knowledge relevant to cardiac/telemetry care
• Proficiency with core nursing competencies and specialty exam content
• Familiarity with facility compliance processes (Nursys, license verification, fit testing)
