Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality cardiac telemetry care for medically and procedurally complex patients
• Monitor telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry, detect changes, and escalate appropriately
• Manage cardiac drips and titrate medications per protocol with careful documentation
• Perform IV therapy, medication scanning, and accurate medication administration
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans and handoffs
• Maintain comprehensive, timely documentation in Allscripts EMR and support soft-lab workflows
• Support unit flow, float within similar areas as needed, and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as listed in the posting)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience with cardiac drips
• Experience with medical-surgical patients and telemetry is preferred
• Comfortable using Allscripts EMR and medication scanning workflows
• Competent in IV therapy, continuous pulse oximetry, and manual/automatic vital signs

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Cardiac medical/procedural patient care including cath lab admits and post-procedure monitoring
• Cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Diltiazem, dopamine variants, dobutamine, milrinone, insulin drips)
• Allscripts EMR familiarity and medication scanning
• IV therapy and use of vein finder tools
• Continuous pulse oximetry and portable pulse oximetry monitoring
• Manual and automatic vital signs equipment
• Medical-surgical nursing with telemetry focus
