Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered respiratory care, assessment and treatment for acute respiratory conditions
• Manage mechanical ventilation settings and weaning on Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide clinical decisions
• Deliver non-invasive support including CPAP and BiPAP and titrate settings as needed
• Administer chest physiotherapy (CPT) and other therapeutic interventions
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and adjust respiratory plans of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (must-haves)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Current state respiratory therapist license (as applicable)
• Trauma experience preferred
• Previous Meditech experience preferred by leadership

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Associate's degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy preferred (or equivalent training)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with ventilator models: Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral
• Competence in ABG analysis and interpretation
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP therapy and non-invasive ventilation
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) techniques and pulmonary treatments
• Electronic charting experience (Meditech) and clear clinical documentation
• Critical thinking, teamwork and collaborative physician communication
