Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in the CVOR
• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment and specialized CVOR instrumentation
• Assist the surgical team throughout cardiovascular procedures with precision and calm
• Continuously monitor patient hemodynamics and document clinical status accurately
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide pre-op and post-op patient education and compassionate bedside support
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida licensure or compact privileges recommended)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in CVOR, cardiovascular surgery, or perioperative nursing (as noted in the posting)
• CNOR, BLS required or highly recommended; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room and with specialized cardiovascular equipment
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required facility background checks

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge and sterile technique mastery
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Ability to monitor and interpret hemodynamic data
• Solid teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
• Adaptability to operating room workflow and surgical scheduling
