Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms, assist with sterile technique and procedural support
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation per protocol and ensure patient stability
• Continuously monitor hemodynamics using GE monitoring systems and respond to changes
• Document patient status and procedural details accurately in Meditech EMR
• Operate and support imaging equipment workflows including Philips bi-plane and GE Mac Lab in collaboration with techs and physicians
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, efficient unit

Qualifications

• Active NH RN license (required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (explicit in job posting)
• Experience in procedural departments, critical care, or emergency department OR experience with moderate sedation (must-have)
• Comfort with Meditech EMR and familiarity with Philips bi-plane, GE monitoring or GE Mac Lab preferred
• Able to live within a 40-minute radius of Portsmouth Regional Hospital (explicit requirement)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a fast-paced procedural setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Procedural nursing best practices and sterile technique
• Moderate sedation administration and patient monitoring
• Interventional radiology procedures (EKOS, angiograms, cerebral coiling, biopsies, etc.)
• Critical care and emergency response skills
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
• Familiarity with Philips bi-plane imaging and GE monitoring systems
• Strong communication, situational awareness, and teamwork
