Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
Accurately document care, observations, and vital signs in the patient record
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of California (required)
Prior experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred but not required
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting patients during night hours

Education

State-approved CNA certification
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational patient care skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
Strong observational skills and clear, professional communication
Familiarity with charting and basic clinical documentation
Compassion, patience, and an ability to work well under pace and pressure
