Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting with precision and compassion
• Continuously monitor hemodynamics, ventilator parameters and neurologic status
• Administer medications and advanced therapies according to protocols and physician orders
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and code situations using ACLS/BLS skills
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team — physicians, therapists and support staff — to coordinate care plans
• Perform specialty competency tasks and maintain required certifications and skills checklists
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge planning with empathy

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required (state licensure verification will be completed)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required per listing
• Experience in ICU nursing / critical care strongly preferred
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
• Must meet employee health requirements: fit test, drug screen, immunizations and physical

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of critical care monitoring and ventilator management
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and care coordination
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
• Competence in trauma and neurologic assessment consistent with TNCC and NIHSS
