Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients, using clinical judgment to prioritize care
• Manage continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and respond promptly to arrhythmias or alerts
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, and care coordinators—to plan and deliver patient-centered care
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions of care
• Maintain compliance with required competencies, documentation standards, and infection prevention protocols
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist in critical events using BLS/ACLS skills
• Contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives and a supportive team culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (verifiable) — ability to complete license/certificate verification
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Med/Surg and telemetry clinical experience (night shift experience preferred)
• Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing
• Must be able to pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, Fit Test and Trinity Color Vision screening
• Up-to-date personal health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Current physical/health statement as required by facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Solid med/surg nursing assessment and intervention abilities
• Proficient clinical documentation in electronic health records
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration and patient safety practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced night settings
• Critical thinking and the ability to act decisively in urgent situations
• Comfort with unit-specific competency testing and ongoing skills validation

This long-term assignment places you in Grove City, just southwest of Columbus. When you’re off shift, explore Grove City Town Center for shopping and dining, enjoy outdoor time at nearby Scioto Grove Metro Park, or take a short drive into Columbus to visit the Short North arts district, German Village, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, and Franklin Park Conservatory. Weekend trips to Hocking Hills or Cedar Point are doable for hiking or thrills, and local restaurants and breweries make for easy downtime with coworkers.
